okay call me uniformed or just plain lost but what are fanon/canon?

Okay, I think canon is what really has taken place (like the actual events and the chronolgy for these events) in the particular fandom, while fanon is the canon that fans create.

So, Clark saving Lex's life by CPR - canon.

Lex falling in love with Clark the moment he came back to life and saw his face above him - fanon.

That's how I look at the terms. Um. *gets unsure* Better ask someone else too. :)
