I learned something interesting at the airport on Wednesday

brass knuckles are illegal in Hawaii

yes kids. and punishable by a $2000 fine.

how did I find this out?
first of all I was wearing my MADE knuckles necklace, like normal.
second, there was a nice bitchy police officer man helping with security.
the TSA guy (who was nice) asked to see my necklace, I obliged, taking it off and handing it to the guy. the police officer, who was next to him, started going off on how brass knuckles are illegal in hawaii and asked to see my ID starting to write me a ticket. the TSA man looked at him like he was nuts and pointed out the fact that these were too small to be useful anyway, let alone that I was boarding a plane to LEAVE Hawaii. He told the police man to just forget about it and told me to put them in my pocket and leave them there. I just nodded and did so and then they let me go. the police officer gave me my ID back and was muttering under his breath as I walked away.

so kids, for future reference, don't wear your MADE knuckles necklace around Hawaii, especially in the airport. my necklace almost cost $2000 more than I originally paid for it.

oh yeah and I had just noticed earlier that day that someone in the International Marketplace was selling REAL brass knuckles. I should have told the police officer to go down there and write a ticket for the real thing.

*mutters* stupid people.
