gah! *grabs the limp pickle*
Mar. 7th, 2003 10:47 amthis is really irking me.
I made an icon for someone who requested it and it said 'motherfucker' It was an extremely funny icon and I'm very proud of it.
well someone responded to the comment I made with the icon asking that the icon not be used because it has a swear word on it and this person reads LJ at work and it wasn't 'safe'
okay first of all, just like my icons that say 'fuck' or some variation of them, you wouldn't be able to read it unless you were really close to the screen. So unless someone was reading directly over your shoulder they couldn't read it.
Second of all it was someone on their friends list. If there's something offensive on your friends list scroll up/down, whichever so its not on the screen for more than a few seconds. How hard is that? Skip the damn post if its so 'dangerous'.
Third if you're that paranoid about what content is on an icon on your friendslist what about the content of some posts? I know I'm not the only one who doesn't have 100% clean posts. Hell I'm lucky if they're 30% clean. *snerk*. If it's that big of an issue don't read your friendslist at work!!!!!!
then when I suggested that this person not read LJ at work if they're so worried they tell me that they could have just pulled the icon owner off their friendslist but they didn't want to do that and that they were just asking for a little consideration. *rolls eyes* It's her journal, if you don't like it, stay away.
okay I'm gonna shut up now before this becomes something huge.
(oh look, I used a bad word on my icon)
